“Six months after a full hip resurfacing with Sarah Muirhead , I was able to achieve my ambition of Tow Surfing Big Waves in Nazare, Portugal for the first time. This was only possible due to the superior care, guidance and expertise provided by Hersha. She was flexible and focused, and made the sessions both fun and challenging to get just the right amount out of me each time, whilst also preventing me from overdoing things. No matter how good your surgeon is, you only get real results with the proper post operative rehab; and that needs someone who has the dedication to determine a personalised approach for you. I have unfortunately had far too much experience in post operative rehab throughout my life and I can truly say Hersha is one of the best out there. Anyone would be fortunate to work with her”

“I fractured my hip in a bike accident which resulted in surgery to put in three bolts holding together the neck of femur. Six months went by with virtually no sign of healing. I was told it was very unlikely the bone would ever rejoin, so as my only option I was booked in for a total hip replacement. I started working with Hersha to help prepare for the surgery. At this point I was still using crutches and struggled with everyday things, like navigating stairs.
Her deep knowledge, experience and expert advice helped me build the necessary strength through weight training to allow the natural healing to accelerate. In my case, working consistently with Hersha directly led to improvement so dramatic we were able to postpone the surgery and, ultimately, cancel it altogether. Hersha’s plan provided the right stimulus to allow the natural healing to completely reconnect the bone, overcoming an outcome many surgeons advised was improbable to occur. She didn’t give up; she pushed me beyond what I thought was possible; and every day I’m thrilled to be walking, cycling and even running on my own hip.
Since recovering, I have been quickly returning to my former level of fitness. I cycled to the summit of Mont Ventoux, completed L'Étape du Tour de France and a five-stage Haute Route race in the Italian Dolomites. All my results have been well beyond anyone's expectations”

“ Hersha devised a series of rehabilitation exercises which she tailored and continually adapted to each stage of my recovery, from the day after the operation by Angus Lewis; teaching me how to use crutches, through the early days at home, to weighted exercises and back on the watt bike to then riding outside, covering distances of over 80km. She was able to explain each stage of my recovery, both physically and mentally, and was continually reassuring but also demanding in just the right measure. I really enjoyed working with her and thoroughly recommend her.”

“Hersha has helped me enormously after having a Hip Replacement with Hugh Apthorp . She came highly recommended and has been amazing throughout the whole rehabilitation process. She has given me so much confidence and helped rebuild mobility and strength using a huge range of exercises keeping it fun and dynamic.
From teaching me how to get on and off the floor and walk in the early days; to getting on the bike to using the pool and gym to exercise. It has been 10 weeks since my operation and thanks to Hersha I’m back doing reformer Pilates swimming and riding . I cannot thank you enough!”

“ I am profoundly thankful to Hersha, my remarkable physiotherapist, for leading me through the challenging path of recovery following a debilitating motorcycle accident that left me hospitalised for an extended period with multiple broken bones, necessitating numerous surgeries and procedures. For 9 months, I relied on a metal brace adorned with 14 pins attached to my leg, leaving me with limited mobility and unable to engage in activities requiring the use of my leg. Meeting Hersha marked a turning point. Together, we embarked on a collaborative journey towards healing, where her expertise and unwavering support played a pivotal role. She demonstrated an innate understanding of when to gently guide and when to challenge me, ensuring progress even during the most difficult moments. Thanks to Hersha's unwavering dedication and skilled guidance, I have regained my mobility, confidence, and passion for life. She worked diligently to strengthen muscles I didn't know existed, enabling me to reclaim activities I once thought I'd never engage in again, such as riding my skateboard, looking forward to catching some waves confidently also working with bands on stages in a highly challenging environment. I am now again embracing life's joys with renewed vigour.
Her flexible approach to schedule meetings meant that I could have physiotherapy sessions in multiple different spaces with minimum disruption to my working hours.
Hersha, your compassion and professionalism have left an indelible mark on my life, and I am forever grateful for your instrumental role in my journey to recovery, which I never thought would be this successful without you.”

“Hersha has given me her expert physiotherapy following breaking my ankle and being non weight bearing, the benefits have been enormous. I am now able to walk and climb stairs, drive and on the road to re-establishing a normal life. Her compassion, combined with her knowledge, have proved a powerful combination in giving me confidence to work through the pain to reach my goal.”

“Hersha has helped me greatly in the year since my total knee replacement and tumour removal by Mr Pollock. Having been non-weight bearing for four months prior, she has helped me to completely relearn how to walk, using a holistic approach that balanced my physical recovery together with my ongoing chemotherapy. Hersha has developed an enjoyable program for me that evolves in line with my progress and has also helped to manage the inevitable pains that come alongside. Her hard work and support has been crucial to me reaching many milestones in my recovery including getting back to playing golf, the gym and finally going travelling in South America hiking this volcano with my friends. I would highly recommend Hersha!”

“Hersha provided first rate care and attention after my full hip replacement by Professor Haddad. This was complicated as I am a warfarin patient who bleeds and bruises easily. Hersha has a most engaging and kind personality who above all is an experienced and top class physiotherapist who balances well extended recovery schedules.”

“Hersha provided me with rehab following my hip replacement with Sarah Muirhead from the day I was discharged home from hospital. Our sessions consisted of a combination of massage, scar management and exercise. Having suffered with very limited movement in my hips and back for quite some time there was a lot of compensatory movement patterns I had adopted. Hersha worked with me to understand my goals and my body to establish the best treatment plan for me. She was highly motivating and at the same time reassuring at every stage of my recovery. Her network with other health care professionals proved to be extremely helpful when I developed some issues with my wound and subsequent foot pain.
I have now returned to cycling outdoors, going for long walks, driving and most importantly back to the gym! I wasn’t able to step up like this before the surgery! Hersha worked in guiding my personal trainer and assisting with my programming to ensure that I could return to lifting heavy weights safely. I couldn’t recommend her more highly!”

“Hersha worked with me after having a Total Knee Replacement with Mr Shah at the London Bridge Hospital. These pictures show my knee before and after I had received regular scar massage along with release work from Hersha. The difference was incredible both visibly and in my range of motion. I could not recommend Hersha more highly!”

“Physiotherapy is very important to get you back into action after surgery.
I am 72 years old and had two TKR under Paul Jairaj 10 months apart from each other. My surgery was successful and most importantly my surgeon introduced me to Hersha. She is not only a knowledgable physiotherapist and considerate but really took into account my moods during rehab due to the pain I experienced on some days. She had a friendly approach end ensured I completed my physio in/ out of the pool diligently. The program she provided me with really helped with my mobility , improving my range of motion in my knees and flexibility. Her encouraging and warm approach using a variety of treatment techniques helped ensure I made a speedy recovery so I could fly home.
This was me 13 days after my knee replacement walking without crutches for the first time! Thank you very much Hersha!”

'“I can’t thank Hersha enough for the incredible role she played in my rehabilitation journey after my ACL reconstruction and meniscus tear surgery on my right knee with Professor Haddad. My doctor recommended Hersha and she truly was a game changer!
Having torn the ACL in my left knee years ago, I had a very negative experience with physiotherapy. The process was painful and traumatic, which made me hesitant to undergo surgery on my right knee.
From the very start, Hersha’s approach was entirely different. She listened to my concerns, understood my previous experiences, and tailored a program that encouraged progress without pushing me into painful or forced movements. She made each session motivating and positive, allowing my knee to regain flexibility and strength naturally.
Within just a month, I was already seeing remarkable progress. Now I’ve been able to travel, bike outside, and truly feel like I’m regaining my mobility and confidence. Hersha has helped me put the trauma of my past experience behind me and has made this journey so much better.
Hersha is an exceptional professional. She genuinely listens, remembers key details from past sessions, and is deeply invested in her patients’ recovery. I highly recommend her to anyone needing physiotherapy. Hersha is, without a doubt, the best!”

At the age of 74 I had an anterior hip replacement performed by Jonathan Hutt after being very limited by pain and stiffness. As someone that has always been very active and have enjoyed yoga and body building my hip pain had really impacted the quality of my life, I could hardly walk up the stairs.
I met Hersha after the operation where she visited my home, and gave me an excellent progressive loading exercise program along with some modified yoga exercises, worked on my scar and provided manual therapy, which helped with both my pain and swelling after the procedure. This enabled me to be driving (my automatic) after 6 weeks, and to travel long distance after only 10 weeks, with confidence, to my winter home. It is just over a year now and I feel fitter than ever, I’m back to weight training, yoga, walking and I even took up golf in January!
I would highly recommend Hersha and I believe my quick recovery was from engaging such a knowledgeable professional in her field.

“Hersha is the go to person for rehabilitation, she came highly recommended and I really liked that she had worked with the consultant, Sarah Muirhead and the team at the hospital where I had my operation. I experienced her to be strong with a sunny disposition - two great qualities when I was feeling so vulnerable. As a physiotherapist she is competent and knowledgeable and up to date with the latest research which I found both impressive and reassuring. Thanks to her fantastic work and kind approach I was able to get back into my life with confidence and core strength. I shall continue to see Hersha to push past the milestones we have set for longterm maintenance of bone density, muscle tone”

‘Hersha came when I had a double knee operation under Paul Jairaj. Our whole family were feeling very vulnerable and it was a difficult moment to introduce someone into your home. She came and was very clear and concise extremely knowledgeable about all the things that I was experiencing and just guided me through this initial period. She managed toget me from being bed bound to outside walking. She knew how and when to push things forward in my recovery. Time with her is invaluable and I feel the trust I have in her is full and well deserved. ‘

‘After I had a total knee replacement my surgeon, James Bliss, made it clear that physiotherapy was essential to my recovery. Hersha assisted me from day one. She gave encouragement and guidance. She set out a programme of exercise routines which strengthened my muscles and allowed me to take a gentle pace and build up my strength. With her weekly visits I was able to discern how far I had come and to continue with confidence. I have managed to return back to flamenco dancing, swimming and cycling outdoors and would wholeheartedly recommend her. She is clear, compassionate and professional in her approach

‘Hersha really knows her stuff. The program that she designed for me after my operation with Angus Lewis enabled me to achieve a speedy recovery with no problems.
More important is her personality and style: she made me want to succeed with my program by making me feel we were in it together! Hersha is a great motivator - I always looked forward to seeing her.’

‘Hersha has been so valuable to me, following an operation for a broken knee cap. For 60 minutes each visit I had the luxury of Hersha's undivided attention.
Whether it was advice, analysing difficulties, relaxing with a soothing massage or focusing on challenging exercises, my programme was dynamic and tailor-made to fit in with my lifestyle. Creative and enjoyable exercise routines were planned using my home as a circuit thus avoiding an intense blitz of activity squashed into set times. Hersha's encouragement and positive attitude made the journey back to health hugely enjoyable’

‘I was introduced to Hersha via the private hospital where I had my hip replacement and she was wonderful from the start. Her way with patients who have just had major surgery is warm and friendly. Besides physical therapy her understanding of fascial release is super and a wonderful bonus. Hersha got me up and around doing my normal day to to day activities in no time. Would I recommend Hersha? In a heartbeat!’

‘After my operation, Hersha came regularly to the house to help me walk, strengthen my muscles and subsequently improve my posture. She is encouraging, and her own vigour and vivaciousness are catching: she made me feel stronger and more confident with each visit. She drew up a weekly exercise plan which I followed and I did improve faster than I expected. The combination of massage and exercise greatly helped relieve the stiffness and tension. I shall miss her!’

Hersha helped me recover following two hip replacements completed via the anterior and posterior approaches. Hersha was very knowledgeable at each stage of my recovery, reassuring and enthusiastic at all times.

Hersha treated me for six months following my total hip replacement surgery. with William Bartlett. The physiotherapy was hard work but she was great to work with and the end result has been a better range of movement in my hip and greater strength generally than I have had for ten years. I particularly appreciated her visits when I first came home from hospital. Hersha was also great at treating my whole body, particularly my back, as I adjusted to moving differently. I would recommend Hersha to anyone and her availability will be critical to my decision on when to have my other hip replaced. I have now returned back to going for long walks outdoors and cycling when in the countryside.

“I had hip replacement surgery with William Bartlett at the end of May 2024 and commenced weekly sessions with Hersha on arriving home. She devised and advanced my exercise plan week on week over a two month period and was reassuring on how far was safe to go with the exercises. Her brilliant massage was invaluable too and alleviated tightness and discomfort to enable easier movement. On return to my specialist for my eight week check up he was extremely pleased with my flexibility, strength and walking. On her suggestion and advice I rented an exercise bike for home to continue with my progress, getting stronger. I am lucky to have had such good advice and treatment and couldn’t recommend her more highly!”
